Our environment: Individual Involvement and Legacy
How The Environment Element of the COPOE Project will help Creating Our Paradise On Earth

When survival of mankind meant the direct connection to what we derived from and how we used our environment there was little choice but trying to understand the life-giving and life-threatening order around early man. Today in an industrial and post-industrial world we have come to distance ourselves from these natural processes for an environment we believe to control, exploit and change for our purpose and convenience.
As we intervene with great human folly and thoughtlessness that bring no longer the intended results it is high time we examine the impact of our involvement in the environment. What role do we play in making matters worse for that which turns out to be fragile, finite and of great complexity? What happens if we look at our environmental footprint with renewed honesty and responsibility? How can our actions and reactions influence developments like future mass transportation, nutrition that nurtures rather than destroys and energy consumption embedded within a renewable cycle? Will a courageous honest look at our values, habits and demands vis-a-vis the environment alone bring new ideas, behaviours and action plans?
How can attitudes of refocused consumption, caretaking, husbandry of nature and continued innovation in resource use and management change our impact on climate change? Are there environmental technologies that could become a building stone in 'Creating a Paradise on Earth" What kind of a consequence do we activate in a world where recycling, reusing and reducing are commonplace? Can we even achieve a legacy of sustainability for many generations to come?
